Event Description

On 22, 23 and 30th of March 2015 East West University Sports Club organized “Intra EWU Badminton Championship 2015 for the 3rd time at the home ground of the university. This big event was enlightened by the participation of students and Faculties of East West University. The tournament was organized in 5different subdivision and 2 different divisions. Boys’ singles, Boys Doubles, Girls doubles, Faculty and admins singles. Mixed doubles were introduced for the first time among the students. The venue was held at East West University’s beautiful premises on the basement. The tournament was functioned with knockout system from the beginning. Every match had best of three sets. On 22nd and 23rd group stage matches were held. 30th was the last day of the program for Semifinals and Finals. The game was fairly judged by the participation of International referees throughout the tournament. 

On the final day for awarding the champions of the tournament the chief guest was honorable Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor, East West Honorable Vice Chancellor was also present the program. With addition. the Honorable President of Bangladesh Badminton Federation Mrs. Rubaba Dowla and General Secretary Md. Jubaidur Rahman Rana, Bangladesh Badminton Federation attended the program as Special guest. The tournament was able to set a landmark of Involving and encouraging in sporting activities for all from students to faculty members of the university in one platform. Plenty of best performers were figured out through that tournament who were trained up intensively by sponsor EWU university for Inter University, national and international badminton tournaments.
